Terms of use
Last updated: 2026-07-17
These terms are being finalised ahead of our public launch. What they say about how the site works is accurate and current — our full registration details are still being added.
These terms are the agreement between you and PlacementClass ("we", "us") for your use of https://www.placementclass.com. Using the site means you accept them. We've tried to write them in plain English rather than the usual wall of capital letters.
What you can use, and for what
Everything on the site today is free to use for your own learning and job hunting. You're welcome to study the notes, work through the questions, screenshot your results and share them with friends.
What we ask you not to do:
- Republish our questions, explanations or notes as your own, or bulk-copy them into another course, app, PDF or channel — whether or not you charge for it.
- Scrape or automatically harvest the site, or hammer it with automated requests.
- Try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems behind it.
- Sell access to anything here, or present it as your own product.
Quoting a question or a paragraph with credit and a link back is fine. Copying a whole bank is not.
Who owns what
The questions, explanations, written notes, course structure, design and code are ours, and remain ours. Our practice questions — including the GATE-style and company-pattern sets — are original work written by us in the style of those exams. We do not reproduce copyrighted exam papers, and we don't claim to be publishing anyone's actual test questions.
Company names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners. We refer to them to describe what our practice material covers. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a recruitment partner of any of them.
Your progress, XP and badges
Your XP, levels, streaks and badges are a way to see your own progress. They have no monetary value, can't be bought, sold or transferred, and don't entitle you to anything. No content is ever locked behind them — everything on the site is readable whatever your level, and with the game switched off entirely.
Because progress is stored in your browser rather than on our servers, it can be lost if you clear your browser data, switch device or use private browsing. We can't recover it for you — we've never had a copy. Export a backup code from your dashboard if it matters to you. We may also correct or reset progress data if a bug or an attempt to manipulate it makes it wrong.
The jobs board
This is the part worth reading carefully:
- We are not the employer and we're not a recruiter. We don't accept applications, shortlist candidates, or influence any hiring decision.
- Listings are curated by hand from employers' official announcements, and every one links to the company's own careers page. Details — deadlines, eligibility, salary, batch — are the company's, and they can change or be withdrawn without telling us.
- Always verify on the company's official page before you apply, and treat that page as the truth if it disagrees with ours.
- We never charge you to apply, and no legitimate employer will either. If anyone asks a fresher for a registration fee, a training deposit or payment for an offer letter, it's a scam — don't pay, and please tell us if you saw it here.
We take accuracy seriously and fix reported problems quickly, but we can't guarantee a listing is current or complete at the moment you read it.
No guarantees about outcomes
We don't guarantee you a job, an interview, a shortlist or a particular score. Nobody honestly can. The material is here to prepare you well; the result depends on you, the employer and a good deal beyond anyone's control. Nothing on this site is professional, financial or legal advice.
The site is provided as it is
We work hard to keep the content correct and the site up, but we provide it "as is". We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that every answer is perfect — if you find a mistake, tell us and we'll fix it. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for loss arising from your use of the site, including lost progress or decisions made on the strength of a job listing. Nothing here limits any liability that can't legally be limited.
Links to other sites
We link out to employers' career pages, YouTube and our Telegram group. Those sites are run by other people under their own terms, and we're not responsible for their content.
Free now, and what happens if that changes
Everything currently on the site is free. We may add paid features later — mock tests, certificates and the like — and if we do, they'll be clearly marked as paid before you pay for anything, with their own terms. We won't put today's free content behind a paywall.
Changes to the site and to these terms
We add, change and occasionally remove content and features as the site grows. We may update these terms too; when we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Ending access
There's no account to close — you can simply stop using the site, and clearing your browser data removes everything it stored. We may block access for anyone abusing the site under the rules above.
